Joe Wagner has been a regional partner with Geneva since its inception in 2003. As Partner, Joe directs the acquisition strategy for Geneva and its affiliates throughout his region. He manages relationships with real estate principals and financial institutions, designing Geneva's acquisition criteria while executing and structuring quality investments.
Prior to joining The Geneva Organization, Joe was a partner and senior vice president of investment sales for a full service management, leasing and development company based in Madison, WI. He closed over $150 million in brokerage and development deals.
Joe has over 11 years of experience in acquisitions, dispositions, property management, leasing, development, and financing. He began his career with First Industrial Realty Trust, Inc., in Minneapolis, MN, where he was part of an acquisition team that acquired and developed over $300 million of bulk industrial and flexible office/warehouse real estate throughout the western United States.
Joe also served as vice president of commercial lending for one of the nation’s largest bank holding companies where his primary responsibility was the generation of construction loans to the Wisconsin development community.
He earned a bachelor of business degree in finance and investment banking and a master’s in real estate from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Joe is a member of the Wisconsin Real Estate Alumni Association (WREAA) and the Commercial Association of Realtors (CAR).
